Rome needs no introduction. It is the capital of Italy, rich in history and one of the most important cities in the history of mankind. It is considered the cradle of Western civilization and the capital of the great Roman Empire. Your Historio center is a UNESCO world heritage site. Still my favorite culinary in the world.

The Colosseum or Coliseum is an oval amphitheatre built of concrete and sand in 72 AD. It is the largest amphitheatre ever built. The Colosseum could hold, it is estimated, between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators. It was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology.
The Roman Forum is a rectangular plaza surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings. It was for centuries the center of Roman public life: the site of triumphal processions and elections; the venue for public speeches, criminal trials, and gladiatorial matches; and the nucleus of commercial affairs.

The Fontana di Trevi is the largest (about 26 meters high and 20 meters wide) and most ambitious construction of Baroque fountains in Italy. In the old days, it was customary to build a fountain where the aqueducts over, such as the Fontana di Trevi, which marks the end of the Aqua Virgo, an aqueduct of great symbolic value. Tradition says that if you throw a coin into the fountain will return to visit the city. If you are single, here's another tip: tradition also says that if you play two coins, you will find your soul mate in Rome.

WHERE TO STAY
We chose to stay in hostel further from the center, but much cheaper: Plus Camping Rome. To get to the hostel from the termini station, you must take the metro on the red line and go to the end of the line and then take the bus. The hostel has a machine where they can buy the tickets. The journey takes 30 minutes. Right across the street is a supermarket where we bought every day our breakfast.
